About Nexlane News

Nexlane News has two parts. Trending News shows headlines from established outlets, and clicking one takes you to the original publisher. Independent Media is original reporting by journalists we have manually verified.

How we verify journalists

• Every applicant is reviewed by a person before they can publish.
• We keep each journalist's real identity on file, even if they use a pen name publicly.
• Each journalist's government ID is checked privately before approval and is never shown publicly.
• After any launch offer ends, journalists pay a monthly membership that funds verification and moderation.

Editorial standards

• Publish only what you can stand behind. Link or name your sources.
• No hate speech, harassment, or content that targets private individuals.
• No copying other people's work. Plagiarism leads to removal.
• Mistakes are fixed openly. Corrections are shown publicly as “Updated / Corrected”.

Reports and strikes

Every article has a “Report this article” link. Confirmed violations lead to removal of the article and a strike on the journalist's account. A journalist who reaches three strikes is removed from the platform.

Links to other publishers

Headlines in Trending News belong to their publishers. We show only the headline, a short teaser and an image, and always link to the original page.
